Unresolved Pressure and Stress from work, family, friends and trying to be a success in society can eventually lead to Burnout, which could effect you four fold.
Moderate levels of strain may be stimulating and encourage clear thinking, good decision-making and creativeness. However, as strain increases there may be:
Confusion, difficulty in focussing thoughts, indecisiveness, lack of concentration, forgetfulness, intuition may be less reliable, obsessive preoccupation with particular ideas, inability to think about all the alternatives, thinking that is excessively dominated by threat or negative themes. Loss of religious faith, questioning and doubting beliefs, feeling disconnected from one's God.
These can include:
'butterflies' in the stomach, nausea, sickness, fast and irregular heartbeat, palpitations, muscular tension and pain, shaking, headaches, changes in vision, fast breathing, breathlessness, dizziness, dry mouth, sweating, feeling hot, blushing, tiredness, withdrawal, lethargy, slowness.
Moderate levels of strain will lead to increased alertness and feelings of invigoration. As strain increases there may be:
distress, unhappiness, depression, despondency, hopelessness, despair, feeling overwhelmed, aggression, impatience, irritability.
strenuous attempts to solve problems, problems immediately pounced on and worked at over-activity, hurry, lateness, over-committing time, errors, inefficiency, inability to relax, agitation, tension.
